The Center for Transformative Media is engaged in transformative ways of thinking, acting, learning, and producing through media, a space where industry leaders, digital designers, social scientists, media managers, faculty, and students work together to push media practices and platforms in new directions. Critically, The Center learns from the young people it serves, grounding its work in a deep understanding of the kinds of social, civic, entrepreneurial, and creative practices in which they engage through media. Primary work is done in six areas: learning, networks, play, data, mobility, and identity. These six areas provide contexts for curriculum and research, and create specific points of entry for both students and industry partners.
